its not good when you get flooded out.......i went some time last year and we woke at 2am to find the lake had risen 3ft and was at the doors of our bivvy's........we started off 20ft from the bank....... :thumbsup_anim: .......you could also here the river pouring into the lake........packed up and left before we drowned on our bedchairs..... :thumbsup_anim:

i drove down too Bedford via M1 south yesterday, i saw the had gone down some what from only only a few days before..
weds last week, i drove to Whittlesea, to a customers, down the A604, the heart of the Nene Valley, just past Bluebell lakes, you couldnt tell the difference between river a water logged fields...
Went to visit a mate carpng Saturday at an estate lake....looked like a mud bath....oh well...roll on summer flooding..lol
same as joss.........when i looked from the M1 a few days ago the river had created a lake about 500 acres in size down towards newport pagnell..........in july when it flooded they caught 3 carp from a puddle left in a field..........biggest went 28lb........ :suicide_anim: :thumbsup_anim:
the side of the complex im fishing doesnt get affected by the river and it also has the biggest fish in it......which is lucky....... :thumbsup_anim:

I agree mate. Nightmare situation. I think they need to address this flooding issue casue the way the weather is these day's it looks like this could happen on a regular basis :thumbsup_anim: Its a lot of fish to lose and lose them pretty regular as well.
Let us know how you get on if you go 2nite :thumbsup_anim:

I last went 5 weeks ago maybe longer. Only did 24 hours and fished Linford with a mate (island swim). All in all i had about 5 tench and no carp :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim:
There seems to be loads of the little blighters (tench) and theyre just getting in there before the carp (so ive been told) And the weed OMG

There's just stacks of the stuff.
fished the canal sections yesterday with my lad............not one small carp caught..........loads of roach etc.........me thinks all them small carp are all in rocla and redhouse now after the floods of 2 weeks ago.......... :D
