Its not a spacer as in washer, its a tapered plastic spool cone that clips around the centre of the spool to reduce the depth of spool and also give a better line lay.

has it slowed the oscillation down then........ :blink:

watching them techniums is weird...............the spool moves up and down so slowly it does ya head in, specially when getting the spool closed down to the reel for final posistion on the pod............takes ages........ :blink:

Do the Basias have the 'proper' tapered spool or the 'reverse' tapered spool like the Entohs? I took my spool reducers off of my old Emblems and fitted them on to my Entohs to give them a proper line lay. :o

you may well be right rob...........but im sure the tapered spool will give you a few extra yrds.........but not much........shame we didnt have that casting comp............. :lol:

I personally don't think reels make much difference to the distance you can cast. Its more to do with technique and the rod. :o

bloody trent flooded 1 of my syndicates and other cant fish opening night as work party people get priority and all the pegs taken hope bloody weather picks up and stops raining :o
