That's the idea mate.

Wouldn't recommend leaving your rods out if in peg 7 though.. a little too far away for a lodge'r

That makes more sense.
Swim7+8 comes with the Lodge are the anglers meant to sleep in the Lodge when using these swims?

Just this minute been speaking to Matt about that map. He wants to get rid of it in favour of a new one that's more explanatory..

Lines = overhangs
Blocks = Plateaus
Swims 1 + 2 along the bottom (2 black blocks)
Rest of black blocks around the edge are swims (1-8 counter clockwise)

Here's a map of the place

Some questions
What are the series of parallel lines on the left meant to represent?
What are the black oblong blocks?
Where are the caravan swims 1+2, Lodge swims 7+8 and where are the remaining swims 3 to 6?

In my experiance, that's not the way to do it. Massive beds of visuals (ie Maize) will always out fish small beds. Even boilies aren't a patch on the particles.

Big beds creates competition.

to be honest mate I am going to fish exactly the same as last year, 3kilo drops on just off gravel areas. and watch for bubbles. the guys with us last year fished small amounts and didn't catch it's go for it time, just hope to end up at the top end again else I will be in 3!

But Maize over parti all the way. I reckon people at the moment are playing the little and careful game.

Seems to be fishing a little hard at the moment like most French waters, hopefully they will be awake for me only 6 weeks.
