i know of plenty of runs waters that are closer for me than going here. i keep getting asked to go and find reasons not to go :thumbsup_anim:

four mates was down there over the weekend thay had 35 carp out up too 24lbs and 1 of them blanked lol . but thats fishing for you :thumb:

I live a 1/4 of a mile( just round the corner) from drayton res .. They only tryed to thin drayton fish out a bit, it hardly made a differance as there was and still is far too many fish in there for them to grow on ,
all though some fish are growing but its mainly doubles ,its not match fished like it once was as the carp are to big for the match men now ..

Met Mark last night (He bought my rods off me) he said cant night fish only on fridays and couldnt do 48hr but could do midweek , guess thats that one out of the window!

yeah, but they will always be beaten by decent match anglers..... and theres more to match carp fishing than bagging wagglers.

People always think of the bagging waggler when they think of this place but it does fish well with more 'carpy' methods

its stuffed...when i mean stuffed, i mean stuffed...the fish regularly go over 20 in there now, i have a mate who fishes it, carping style and has had them to 28lb.

Get onto thorpe lea Dan as thats where most of the drayton fish are now and thats big enough and fishes really well all year

Think they are mainly high singles to mid doubles mate. Lots of them though. Bit like the Bay Lake.

Am possibly looking at this place for my charity fishing for the charity that helped my son etc
