Just wish a lot of people doing trips like Les etc, realise that the week is made up of good company, it is great catching big fosh but even more fun having someone there to enjoy the moment with and take the piss!!!!!

Looking forward to May mate!

the hanger trips with Rob was a fantastic trip,

It certainly was a good social :thumb: . Didn't stop laughing all week and the banter / pisstaking started from the moment we met in the carpark. Although we'd never met prior to the trip, we had chatted on various forums over the years.

Remember the oil slick? :LMAO: :LMAO:

We look back now and say we picked the wrong lake that week but me, you and Chan all had a 40 each with yours and Chan's being pb's :thumbsup_anim: Its not always about the numbers or size, just being there and having a good time is what its all about.

It's a holiday, the hanger trips with Rob was a fantastic trip, I think we all need to give and take and put yourself into the other persons shoe's on my local they put ropes across which stop the nutter bait boat users going too far, stops yer casting as well.

I think most people recognise the 'unwritten' boundries, such as the tree is the midway point between the point and next to coypu etc. OK I accept that perhaps it happens more than I had realised but I've always gone in a large group where most people know each other and things get sorted easily.

Tim, I've never encountered any disputes over who should be fishing where. There maybe the odd isolated incident but please don't think its something that happens on every trip.

You'll enjoy your first trip and I bet you'll go again. :thumb:

As a new fisher to the complex this year all this talk of who can fish where is all a bit daunting. Hopefully the bailiff for the week will be referee and I would like to think other anglers would be sensible so no great problems are encountered. I personally check everytime I go fishing where close by anglers are casting so there are no upsets and everybody enjoys their day. I'm in the same boat as a lot of people being allowed 1 week a year abroad to hopefully catch a big un and have a good time. We all have families so let commom sense prevail.

Tim, I've never encountered any disputes over who should be fishing where (apart from Jad fishing over my middle rod when I was in 1st hanger and he was in middle hanger). There maybe the odd isolated incident but please don't think its something that happens on every trip.

fished this swim in april 2006, 2nd trip of the year........... had a similar problem to dan but after a little chat with the bloke in BOB we knew our water and i caught well.

most productive spot was the gravel strip at 9 - 10 o'clock angle, 35 yrd out towards the fallen tree in BOE corner.......12 fish from there and 1 from the other 2 rods.......... :thumb:

lets be honest there are only a few swims where you can encroach on others. BOB, Bear, hanger 1 hanger 2 sexies. old beach, and NCP next to gate and MOL and to be going over that far is really out of order Personally never had a problem except with the guy in Hanger 1 one year when he thought my swim was his prat!!!! ( Think Rob needs glasses or was it me going into Hnager 1 looked good from my side ) :thumb:

Wouldn't worry about it! have a great holiday teh bailiffs are there to sort use them if you get grief ( unlikely ) because at the end of day that is exactly what it is

This July will also be my first trip to the complex & for the last few months I have logged on to the forum & read the posts to get some helpful tips on rigs/swims & bait etc.
Compared to most of the Forum regulars I'm a carp fishing novice, for 2 years I have been looking forward to my DREAM Trip to LQ & I hope it will be a trip to remember for all the right reasons, not anglers disputing where they can cast to etc.

I have fished Les now for 10 years and last year was the first problem i have ever encountered but to be honest the named angler thought he could bully me out of my water and he fcuked up big time....

Dont look at it as daunting this was a one off situation that should never have gone as far as it did...

I told baliffs i would pull back but because the stated angler kicked off they did it to keep him quite and even after that he sort of moaned and for his troubles he got clothe lined bang in the chops by a piece of wire that was hanging from a tree that had the whole complex happy...

I think the other anglers will back me up by saying this is a isolated situation ...

Enjoy your first trip matey i bet this will be one of many and your come back with a couple more fishing buddies too.. :thumbsup_anim:
