Fished it in 04 and had 5 fish straight away from the tree line in the first couple of hours and and then then the elf totaly switched off for a couple of days with only a couple of fish comming out.
The right hand rod was placed tight in the right hand corner which is known for a few big lumps but i only had one take which i think was a lump but lost it after a 5 min battle.
Most of the fish i had came from bottom of the elf as know one was fishing it so i left it well alone for a couple of days and triclked bait in and then launched my middle rod down there.
Had about 6 fish upto 33lb from there and things were looking up as they had defo moved in but as normal poacher gareth moved in there for the night and they moved out.
Had about 11 fish from this swim all week but i would not fish it again if i could avoid it,defo if possible a snide rod swim......only when times are hard though and that year they were...

Here are the comments from the old website.

Comment: I fished this peg back in April on my first trip to Les Quis.
I blanked the first two nights until the Monday tea-time when I landed my first fish in the shape of a 26lb 8oz Mirror on WS double hook bait from the far corner margin toward the right, baited tightly and lightly in this spot with around 1kg, 3 times a day plus a mesh bag with 6 WS in every cast.
I lost a further 2 fish from this spot, both dropped runs due to fishing tight to far margin and leaving the fish with nowhere to run but toward me with a slack line.
My next one on the bank came the following day, Tuesday at around 4pm on my left hand rod, a 30lb 8oz Mirror caught from open water after seeing a big fish crash, 50yds out toward 10 o'clock. This rod was left as a roaming rod with quick-links made up ready for crashing fish.
The next fish came later on that night at around 9pm, a 20lb 2oz Mirror caught from the snags halfway down the right hand margin on the right hand rod. I used the same baiting strategy here as with the far margin middle rod that I caught my first fish with.
Then on the Wednesday morning at around half 8 came the best fight of my life, a Cat weighing 29lb 4oz, caught on the right hand rod down the right hand margin. The thing fought like it was snagged and wouldn't come up from nose diving the bottom for no money, it was kicking up silt like a trooper trying to get the hook out, and I honestly thought I'd hooked a monster carp. After around 15-20 minutes of arm ache, it came up and let me know it was a Cat and I managed to land it. Fantastic!
I lost another the following afternoon from open water chasing crashing fish again, and also lost another the following night from the bar that runs around the point about 10 yards out, this one felt a whacker!
Comment: I fished here last May trip to LQ. Came out 13 in draw.
No joy on the French Blend or in fact the club mix I had took with me (just in case).
2 bags of the WS off Tob started to entice the fish. Had blanked until the Monday evening, when a mid 20 graced the landing net caught from the bottom corner snag right in the corner. 4 more fish followed on the Tuesday (including a bream - oh joy!) up to 21lb. Between Wednesday & Friday lost 3 off the snag and one open water (can only assume it was a cat after the amount of slime left on my line). All in all a quiet trip, perhaps the spawn tadpoles had something to do with it!
First time on the Elf and to be fair I was a bit disappointed, only getting amongst the twenties, but hey you’ve got to be in to win!
Comment: Must admit it is one of the swims I really don't fancy, when I have had a look never really felt it gave me enough options if the fish weren't there, the open water swims give options, feel the same about mossi city ( bottom of the elf ). Also think these swims can get cut off by Sexy's Just my opinion.
Comment: When you fish back of bear as it was always called, you need to establish the demarcation line between your water & Sexy’s otherwise could get nasty! Don’t fancy that long trip home after getting thrown off the lakes for throttling someone!
