Yes the rivers can be very rewarding :thumbsdown_anim:
I have fished most of the main ones over there ....Seain, Lot, Tarn, Soane, Yonne etc and there are a few I would still like to try :glare:

Hi Lads .....how long to you fish a lake in France for ??

1 How many trips would you make to one venue ??
2 Till you have what you are after ??
3 or untill you get feed up of it and want to try a new venue ?

4, How do you lads do it ???

1, as many as needed to batter the place

2, as above...(same question me thinks???)

3, dont get fed up, un less some cooornt up sets me, then i'm ofski

4, what...catch fish.. :thumbsup_anim: ............well............ :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim: ...if your referring to getting out too france alot....get a cushty job to pay for it....and dont ya wife up the duff....well the second bit feck'd me up this yr...lol

i suppose your question will be answered by different opinions...i first went to Les to catch fish..done it now, got nothing to prove...its easy, but there again ive been there a million times, so experience is worth more than bullshite...feed them and they will come, aint rocket is it....for me now...well this yr im off to les for the social last trip with my budday's Paul and Martin.....thats it for 08...should have kept my penis in my trousers...lol...so this yr i'll be concentrating on bait sales and my uk fishing...

2009...Mar Peche..proper big fish water with some stunning fish then off to Lac Unique, fished there in 2004, but fancied going back with some mates, so i have the lake fully booked up...

2010....brings a whole new challenge..one i'm not prepared to tell you about...just yet :thumbsup_anim:

i love france, but french fish hold no qudos in this country, you only gotta look at the mags these days, full of mug french fish and twot can go to a commercial fishery a catch a 50.....

so i shall be treating them as they should be................a holiday with my mates, and catch real fish back here

HOw long???
I think fishing at Lq is a little diffrent as you have 3 lakes to fish...
I have been to France a few times and Lq is the only place I have gone back to..... Also as others have already said the people who are on the trip helps.... I want to do a 3rd trip but not sure when yet...
I have 2 other venues booked up that I have never been to so I'm looking forward to going somewhere diffrent......
Sorry I lied I have 3 trips booked else where :thumbsup_anim:
Each one of them offers something a little diffrent....
La Fritterie ..... some good sized fish booked the whole lake with some mates so should be a laugh...
Blavet...... Taking me girlfriend on this one
Lake Heaven.... A very small lake compared to what i have fished in the past .....

One of the reasons this site has evolved is too take the guess work out of fishing trips,go on word of mouth most guys only get a week so dont want to waste it.If you can get two weeks together then Der or Cassien are the places
to go Imho, but wifey has said no to 2 weeks together so you do the best you can.
Ron i think a "time share2 type of water would work in France is that your aim.

Well i am away to work to help save for next trip. :thumbsup_anim:

Thats why I will only go on personal recommendations from anglers who have fished the venue.

Totaly understand what you are saying Rob ......but some of my best ever trips, have come from just going out there and finding a lake with not much info on it ....then fishing it :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim:

plush when I first started ...there where no comertials and you had to do it all yourself :thumbsup_anim:

But each to thier own mate :thumbsup_anim: :violin:

It's nice going back to a venue you know so you can catch a few you know where you stand what to take and what to do. Main things for me are being fed saves so much hassle, don't mind driving but don't do long trips, it's not the going as that gets the anticipation adrenalin going, but its looking at the drive home. I can't see me going back to Les for a long time really would never say never. Got a few venues that tick the right boxes and a few that don't!

it makes a big difference if the balifs are a friendly bunch, cant treat paying customers like corrrrnts (unless they behave like one)if you have a customer base that returns annually look after it me thinks, agree that the people your on the trip makes a big difference, made some good friends at les quis(even northerners) :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim:

You should only move on if you feal its right Rob :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim:

But its all too easy to get stuck in a rut and take the safe option of knowing what you get your for money. There are too many venues out there all claiming this, that and the other as far as fish stocks are concerned and I'd hate to turn up somewhere, having paid out my hard earned cash, for it to be something completely different to what I was 'promised' in the glossy ads.

Thats why I will only go on personal recommendations from anglers who have fished the venue.
