On July 1st 2008 a new law goes into effect in France requiring a reflective jacket and warning triangle to be carried in vehicles.

Apparently, before then, according to french law, you only need to have your hazards on when breaking down, deflectors on your lights and a GB sticker..
Strange, I always thought it was the law to carry a warning triangle.

If you see the state of their cars they`re driving round in, the old bill aint gonna worry whether you`ve got a class 1/2 or full spec reflective jacket should you break down

Still, right bout the pikey`s :thumbsup_anim:

That's why they are very strict on reflective jackets. Too many people being knocked down when getting out of broken down cars.
Nah seriously are their cars in a state then? I can't say I've noticed but then again I'm not the sort of person who takes much notice of cars. One thing I have noticed is that they are very patriotic and buy a high percentage of French made cars.

I see in Carpworld that from 1/7/08\if you are driving in France each person must have a fluroesent jacket in the vehicle with the accident kit.
