That menu resembles nothing like we had mate, breakie was okish, greasy bacon, two deep fried sausages, tinned toms and beans mixed and microwaved so if you didnt like one u were fecked, and runny scrambled egg on two days. Friday all we got was two bacon rolls!!!!!!!!

A curry is not two or three chicken legs smothered in a Korma sauce :thumbsdown_anim: :thumbsdown_anim: The last night we had a beef type goulash, which had chilli sauce in, also cooked with it were sausages, this was poured over a chicken pie for fecks sake :thumbsdown_anim:

John done the BBQ which was nice, the rest was sh*t and he needs to get a grip. The food, and especially the hygene in the kitchen was disgraceful and I wont be eating it again!

Thats exactly what my cousin said.......food was a mish mash of sh*t thrown together.........apart from that though they loved it....... :thumbsup_anim:

Not too bad considering you're only paying £500 for the whole trip which includes food, fishing and transport.
No unexpected bar bills either 'cos he'll run you down to the supermarket and you can buy your own booze and snacks.

It'll be a shame if he lets it slip.
Come on Mally we know you can do it :thumbsup_anim:

I didn't think the food last year was too bad, the Sunday roast was great not too bothered about pizza and spag bol though.
Puddings were good and you could never complain about the quantities, fookin tons of it.

So what was different?

Make shift curries 3 times in the week mate, Sunday roast was spot on and spag bol was nice, he needs a good set menu for the week rather than wing it and see what he digs out from the fridge/freezer.

John didnt mention the Crays mate, dont think he will either :thumbsdown_anim: :thumbsdown_anim:

Back from La Fonte after a hard weeks fishing, weather was perfect, cloudy, wind, rain all you could want, but the fish were very elusive. Fished the first double swim with a bloke I met there last year, him and his 15 year old boy, had a great laugh and I gave him my first run so he could have his first French carp, ended up a 16LB mirror, so a nice gentle start to French carp fishing for him, he ended up with a 16, 32 and a 43!!!!!!!!!!!
I could only manage 4 fosh, 20, 23, 28 and a 43, a few more runs would have been nice. Between 7 of us we landed about 30 fish, not great by anyone’s standards. Seems the lake has had a bit of an infestation with Cray fish, not just the normal soft shelled ones but red signals. Mally fished the dam wall swim and was swamped by them, he put out rock hard baits that were meshed and all that came back was the mesh!!! A shame and I don’t know what the owner can do about it as they breed like rabbits.
A good week I always enjoy myself anyway, a bit fed up with French carp foshing and will only be going with Joss next year, couple of trips to Spain though.
Met the LQ boys on the ferry and car park, didn’t recognise anyone cept one of the bailiffs. Gave Kiwi some abuse at the car park as it’s been so long since I seen him!

Neos cousin and mate were top blokes, they didn’t crack the 30 mark though. 3 30’s and 2 40’s for the week plus 20’s and a few doubles for all 7 of us.

My cousin and his mate are in the next swim down........they've had 7 between them when i last spoke to them wed morning..... :thumbsdown_anim:

That single swim is a funny old swim, hard to fish because of the underwater rocks on the dam wall........ :thumbsdown_anim:

I spoke to him very briefly yesterday. He's in the double swim nearest to the Lodge. I don't think he's had much since his last report. Mally is in the single swim by the lodge and is blanking!
Never the less it sounds like they're having a good time.

One thing I forgot was to ask how the gardening is going :thumbsdown_anim:
