Yep-Jimbo txt'd me last night to remind me he was on....

Me thinks Bob is a Tad jealous!

One thing is for sure statistically its not worth Jimbo going again as if theve had 5 trips out there previously and never managed a 45lb then its a long way to go back with an immense amount of travelling with very little chance of beating his PB....

Well done Jimbo now maybe we can concentrate on catching some Big Winter Barbel from the Dove ! :thumb:

I never saw a single snake to be fair......Bob filmed a 6ft Rat snake (not rattle snake) but they arent dangerous we were told. Stu also filmed a small snake in the water edge. Apparently there are Cobras there though, we were warned to watch out at all times for them amongst other little nasties.

Cheers chaps. Im in the process of attempting to write an article about the whole trip. You'll have to bear with me though - Im only up to the drive through Delhi at the minute lol

Trips can be booked with relative ease through The Himalayan Outback and they sort everything except the flights. We put a lot of work in ourselves in deciding modes of transport from Delhi to Himalayas but T.H.O. actually sorted it all once we told them what we wanted. We also used Google Earth to help decide where our trip would be taken and camp sites set up. At our first camp for three of us there were 15 staff waiting on our every need!! This reduced to a skeleton crew of 7 when we began rafting down river.

Its a bloody hard trip - punishing terrain. A half half mile walk down river can take an hour! Illness or a fall etc out there and you can easily end up brown bread as medical attention can at best be days away. The fishing is usually extremely difficult and we went with hopes of one fish between three of us in 14 days fishing!! There were times when you find yourself questioning why you are there, but then there are the times when you are elated and realise exactly why you went. The journey there and home is also demanding, this takes about 48-52 hours each way without any delays!

Anyway Im currently finishing the article and sorting out my 950+ photos. I will post the write up and more photos in due time. Stu is also making a DVD of the trip - he's got 11 hours of footage to sort through. A short clip can be seen here though:
