Food package prices across most venues range between £15-£20 per day, which when you think about it is not to bad considering you dont have to cook, clean or anything..... :thumb: .....its the cost of the fishing thats the real ball ache.........

But as its been said a million times........you pay or dont pay..... :LMAO:

Think about it this way its not £20 extra!!!!!, if you was at home you still have to eat and that costs, so take that cost out of that £20 and there is your extra cost for food ??? not so bad ....

I suppose in one way this lot could be good, because there is going to be a lot more competition for Anglers money, So you either going to be an extremely popular fishing venue like les etc, or your going to be one of the smaller places that will have to really start competing for trade else they will go bust!

real poverty doesn't exist in the UK.....

even those lakes charging in sterling are affected by the exchange rate - their costs are in euro's unless they own the lake outright, and there's the french tax change to take into account.

I would prefer now days to pay in sterling ala Les Quis for everything that way the price don't move with the exchange rate,

I think a lot of French lakes are going to suffer this year especially the ones charging Euro ( I would imagine Utopia will get hit ),

yes the rich feckers will be always be able to afford the difference. But there are going to be a lot of blokes that can't.
Personally think next year will be the tell tale as this ears fishing was probably booked and paid for before everything in this country went pair shape!

oh ffs is it that time of year again :thumbsup_anim:

quibling about £20 here and there and then buying new reels/stainless/bivvy/blahblahblah. but a round less on the ferry and the difference is paid for.

reckon a lot of lakes are going to find it tough with the exchange rate, the real quality lakes will shine through...... same with the way businesses over here are going.

still, means theres going to be some cheap lakes in a year or two.....

i hear the food is £160 a week there Smoggy..

M8 through no fault of their own the food package is 160 euros, roughly £150 at current exchange rate (usually it would be around the £115 mark).

To counter this, they`ve knocked £75 off the cost of the fishing, i.e. £250 per week for the fishing, when 4 or more anglers book on same form  Nice if other venues could follow suit with discounts for group bookings

So all in all, don`t give 2 f**ks how much the grub costs due to the euro/£ exchange, it gets my vote :)
