Like my dad said (sselhsif) it was hard going last week. I was finding about `17ft out in front of me but it did shelf up to around 13ft. This was the depth i caught my fish from. I was fishing peg 12 and casting to the marker that had been placed in front of peg 13. Where everyone one was fishing with small amounts of bait i went the opersite and filled it in. I used around 25kg on pellet and 15kg of SM boilles. All of this was on one rod. The other 2 rods where fished over a large quantity of bait but not as much as the one that produced fish. I fished dumbell bottom baits with a white pop-up shaved down to match the size of the bottom bait. This produced all my fish. 4 carp, 16lb 17lb, 24lb and a 28lb. oh yeah and 4 bream

Like dad said there was only 2 fish caught during the day. His one which I thnink was around 3pm and my mate Johns which was at around 7.30am. John (in peg 7) saw some fizzing coming from his right hand margin and cast a single to it. Half hour later 32lb mirror on the bank. Top Angling. :thumbsup_anim:

IT WAS HARD GOING LAST WEEK. 36 RODS FOR THIRTEEN FISH. ONE OF THOSE CAUGHT BY A BAYLIFF. WE HAD BREAKFAST IN OUR SWIMS ALL BUT ONE DAY. I DIDN'T CATCH UNTIL THE FRIDAY WHEN I MANAGED TWO. MY SON CAUGHT FOUR BUT REALLY HAD TO WORK HARD AT IT.
ALL THE SAME WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND WERE REALLY LOOKED AFTER WELL. CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK LATER THIS YEAR.

Is that what you call getting your fishing head on. Reeling in zipping up and going to sleep. Must try that sometime. Must work wonders on a lake that fishes best at night. :thumbsup_anim:

I fished swim 9 last week. Apart from a pike and a bream I had nothing till Friday when I had two out. A 20lb 12oz and a 24lb 8oz both from the same spot both on single hook baits with a small bag of pellets. They came from the left of swim 8 about 20 foot from the bank. I text Dan yesterday to let him know where I had them from.

We had no probs with Ghoasts or Goolies only the occastional drunk. The way the weather was turning we thought that Dan and Co would have a good week this week. Still plenty of time yet. Hopefully it will pick up for them. :thumbsup_anim:

If hes argueing with his old chap then its no wonder the fishings slow, despite the size of the lake :thumbsup_anim:

Been out to Les with em both & fair play its usually no holds barred :thumbsup_anim:
