The dawn emerged from night as pearls from shells
The sun is smiling sweetly from the hills
The landscape wakes as morning chorus start
Here goes the march of time ahead so smart

As birds and leaves with songs and music greet
And buds with tears of joy impart a treat
O hear the rhythm, Nature plays as boon
To notes and pitch that sound a magic tune

So wake up, wide awake to feel this fair
It's morning, rich in warmth of care and share
As dawn empowers folks with strength and tact
I feel a gush of joy from depth of heart

The soft and splendid songs of life are sung
On such a dewy dawn's so tender wing
On trails along the mountain's zigzag path
While dawn is growing strong as scoring truth

Did my first session of the year on my local summer water, it was a very frosty night which did the fishing no good whatsoever, it was good to be back, penned a few words too.........

The dawn chorus was magical, like a choir of angels. The song of birds filled the air with sweet music. I awoke to a crystal covered land, glistening in the morning sun. Blinded by my breath I peer out through tired eyes to see the world in its most wonderful form. The rods covered in a white veil I look out across the pool, still, calm, a perfect mirror image of the far landscape. And the Carp, still deep in their slumber, not stirring, at least not before the sun begins to rise further and tall columns of mist rise up from the surface like the ghosts of anglers bygone. Then, as the frost recedes, a ripple, then another. The Carp have awaken, cruising, bubbling. The first brew of the day is met with joy, a warmth within fueling optimism. The winter is almost over, but the quest to outwit a monster has only just begun.
