If your going to st malo mate , forget the beer beer and more beer , get the quick crossing . Done it last July with the family and takes about 4 hrs and thats with a short stop in Jersey or Guernseys well.

Brilliant

I was meant to go Les Quis last year but my wife had to have a major operation and i had to stay at home and aid with her recovery. On the family holiday in July i took a rod or 2 and had some carp from our campsite upto mid double and that was in Brittany. The lakes were in the middle of a golf course and i lost some better fish . One took me round the back of an island , i could not hold it on he light gear i had .

Good fish in Brittany and good luck mate.

cheers bally...

thanks for the info mate, anythings better than nothing  :thumbsup_anim:

why brittany fella?...not the best place to go for carp in france

hello joss,

its just that ive been to les quis, not so dreamlakes, and me and my mate fancied a change to more quieter waters to try for a biggun, but its trying to find somewhere thats the problem as there are a lot of waters out there that say this and that when probably most aint worth fishing, or on the other hand are pasty waters
we want action but not catching half pints for a week. :LMAO:
we want to go around rergion of brittany as we will be getting a ferry overnight to st malo....beer. beer .n more beer... :thumb: :Ignore:  :thumb: then a nice drive to the lake :LMAO:

Not been myself but Moulicent does sound a nice place.
Probably hasn't got the biggest fish in France but if you want to catch some reasonable fish that's run by a very really good bloke then Moulicent is definately worth considering
