I fished this place four times, it used to hold a good head of 30s and 40s with one or two fish going over 50.

Like smog said you fished it from a split were all the swims are, six of them, but we used to fish it with three of us at the most four.

Had some good trips with one of them four of us had 97 fish for the week with 16 40s between us, 34 30s and the smallest fish being a low 20.I also had a 38 grass carp with a couple of other 30s.

We used to fish the far margins with tigers over hemp and grouts, at the time there was a boat that you could use for baiting up.

The lake changed hands 5 or 6 years ago, and I think the guys running the lake next to it ( Chub lake I think) started to ballif it and I did here that fish started to go for a walk   .

One of the guys went back 3years ago and said he wouldnt go back, its a shame because there were some good fish in there and only a short drive, but thats life :thumbsup_anim: :thumb:

hello m8,

did you have much? me and a mate are looking to fish somewhere next year but just trying to get info on different waters at mo.
any others that you have been to that are worth a look?

went end of season, think we had 20 fish between the 5 of us, 3 blanked (me included), other 2 shared the fish which were all holed up in the margin tree cover opposite the point swims.

Heard numerous reports of re-stocking with pasties to maintain numbers, so defo one NOT to go to, but if the need still takes you, i`d look to fish into the margin bank opposite the end of the spit swims as opposed to open water.

M8, any lakes mentioned in the "French Venues" Tab on this forum will all have reports attached.
Me personally, Ive been to Lac De Passion, Les Quis, Lac Chateau (Nashs), Edens Lakes, Lac Salagou, all of which i`d return to, except Lac De Passion.

Good Luck :thumbsup_anim:

Went there in 2003, near village of Hondainville or something. Doubt if i`ll be going back cos it aint my thing!

Small 5 acre or so, 6 swims lake, you all fish from the centre spit, check out the first advanced fishing dvd`s with Danny Fairbrass & Frank Warwick, parts 1 & 2.

It is close to Calais but if thats your only selection criteria then fish Abbey Lakes :thumbsup_anim:

I did a little search on CF and found various threads refering to passion.........a couple of which reported that the onsite balliff had actually told them the lake held 250 fish.......Although nearly everyfish caught was over 30lbs with the biggest going 48lb...... :thumbsup_anim:
