you just lose them ,as you take to long to get them in   :LMAO:
i use the rig marole lead clips for zig fishing as they get rid of the whole clip on the take and means you are just left with the swivel which will pass throught the eye of your rod .
which means you can play them normally when you have a long zig on  :LMAO: :LMAO:

Nice one, never thought of that, mind you never really fish zigs that are longer than the rod. I do loads of zig fishing in the uk as the fish in our pond are really cute to a floating hooklink, but mostly its just around the 6-8 foot depth.
Took a while to get used to casting with the lead a foot under the tip ring, at first it felt very strange and its quite easy to torpedo the whole thing into the margins.
There's a guy I know who's right into fishing adjustable zigs and massive depths (20ft+) with relative ease, lot of pissing about with bubble floats, reeling down and letting line off etc, gets the job done though....

Most things i have read on zigging said bait tight to hook

I know Tob does a lot of it so he must know what he is doing, i can count my zig hooked fish on one hand so i am no fecking expert.

hi,i havent fished this style a great deal but when ever i have i fished 6ft in 11ft of water and had a few to 46 pound.also bright yellow was the most effective colour for me....

cheers mate

any info is appreciated. it can do some good fish on this method, a lot of people i know wont fish in this way because of the distance between the lead and bait, say that it will tangle and difficult to cast etc.....but if you stick to it and find out what depths best etc.. then the rewards are there. as you know.
so my message to the doubters......bow-locs and give it a go :thumbsup_anim: :thumbsup_anim:
