cheers geeze,

i have been for the last 3 years running, went with a guide for the first 2 years bur decided to go it alone and hire out the gear and apartment and 100% better. you are not stuck with what you want to do n all that, you can move when n where you like as with a guide you are limited to what they want to do...like stay in the same swim catching f......all for a week....ok when its fishing but shat if its not. we have had cats upto 115lb and carp upto 43 doing it ourselves. we moved a couple of times last year from the segre to the ebro as we were getting lots of takes and catching upto 28lb, but it got a bit silly at one point with 4 rods going off at once !! so we had a move onto the ebro and landed in one afternoon sumet like 8 carp and 1 cat.......the smallest carp was 27....upto 43...with me personally catching 2x 38s and 2x 36s in 2 hrs!! so its well worth doing it yourself. and this is around mequi too. who says meqi is shat then....do it yourselves fellas, lots better.

Looked at this gaff bout 3 years ago, never went.

It was with somebody called Bavarien Guiding Service or something, saw it advertised on John Wilsons fishing show, Guide was called Garry Allen or somebody, looked spot on, just decided on going to Padstow, Cornwall with my 3 kids instead :thumbsup_anim:
