Do you do it on your own or do you go with one of the guideing companys.

100lbs cat on carp gear would be fun if they didnt bite you off :thumbsup_anim:

Been out a couple of times now both with BGS and think its great :thumbsup_anim:

been with a guide twice, richie davies ebro angling tours, i had cats upto 170lb and our group had carp upto 43.but last year we did it ourselves, bkd apartments at mequi, hired gear from same ppl and away we went. must say it was one of the most enjoyable weeks fishing ever as we werent governd by anyone on what swims and times, we did what we wanted to do on the day and come back when we wanted :thumbsup_anim: miles better mate. plus hired our own car too.
we ended up catching a lot of carp and cats not too far away from the apartments....not saying where you understand !!! :thumbsup_anim: the carp do shoal up then....you can see them jumping everywher in front of you as far as you can see !! sept is a good time mate.as for losing em, we pretty much land what we hook....but on several occasions we have HAD to try to actually shake the cat off after hooking it beacause at least 3 times we have hkd one and it just keeps going !!! the pool starts to empty rapidly and after its took 3/4 of the spool and still going you have to clamp down on the spool with your hands !! :thumbsup_anim: this is the beuty of the ebro....you never know what your gonna hook next :thumbsup_anim: but we did land cats upto 115lb on carp gear, but year before had em upto 153 on carp gear....good fun m8 !!

Got home sunday morning after another hard week, only had one cat at 148lbs and 6 carp to 22lbs. Meq it self on the Segra is not fishing that well, with only a few big cats comeing late in the week :thumbsup_anim: We were fishing up at Caspe for most of the week on the Ebro with mine and one other cat at 102lbs.
It was my biggest cat so I was pleased with that, and will be back next year in Sep :thumbsup_anim:
