We had a terrible trip 4 hour delay on M25 but we got there and its some spot.In the middle of nowhere it was lovley, nice beer and cuppa and a walk around Keith cant do enough for you,the other to lads on the trip where well into their fishing by the time we arrived. The lake was down 4 feet due to no rain we where aware of this and brough waders,I got the Pampas swim, and was happy.I fished like a coooooont for 3 days with a 14lber my only catch.Miles moved to the boneyard swim and had 5 fish in an overnighter which was good dangling. The lads on the other side where catching better with J being top rod over the week.
I changed from fluro mainline back to the technimum and starting hitiing the spots i wanted had a 25 7 mirror on the wed,Trev had had a 32 the evening before,I then had the Italian at 43.13 on the thurs followed by a 27 mirror and doubles of 14 and 15,lost a biggie on friday,Miles lost a biggie thurs, infact we all lost good fish,Trev had a 43 on the last afternoon as the grass snakes swam past him.
There where 6 forties caught to 47lb,the food is just the best i have had,the place is really well looked after, and NO RATS not one all week it can be done guys.
I cant say enough about Keith and Jan they really make the holiday,we had a poor week by previous standards but not the venues fault,we left on Friday evening due to the drive, its 430 from Calis and we where towing a trailer, got into Calis to watch our ferry close doors and leave so we where held up again ,home at 0300 on the Sunday.
We would do it again and are looking at a fly drive option.
