fished it may of 2007. caught from 4 areas:

roughly half way straight out towards the little stalking swim between ntc and the bailiff hut, pulled off the broken ground into the silt. majority of fish from here including 50+. pick a poplar tree as a marker and bait to it!

towards the tree between the beach and ncc at about 40yds, a couple of steep bars and a mini plateau - got to make sure the helpers not fishing towards it

a silty spot just to the right of the above

down the left hand margin - looked right, but just had little 'uns

actually quite like the swim (even before catching the 50 :thumbsup_anim: ) - its a bit different to the normal tree-line fishing.

Here are the comments from the old website.

13. The Middles

Comment: I found gravel to the left towards the bailiff’s hut, had all my fish from open water, didn't like the swim to be honest Also gravel to left in margins.

Comment: I hated it, mossie city. Spent all my time being a Ghillie for other people
I did find the gravel and fished to it nothing, bailiff was same he started to catch when I moved. Its one of the few swims with no tree line/margins as such, and can be slow has a rep for big pussies, but none came near me.

Comment: Dad fished this swim. Had a 29.12m and a 46.08m and missed a couple as well. He was just casting out in the middle and baiting around it.

Comment: I had a result from this swim. 22 fish, 53lb 6oz, 44lb 39lb 36lb 33lb etc.

All fished short, 25 yards out, never found gravel, but didn't really need too, fish were having over loads of trickled bait every hr.

Comment: fished this swim after moving from beach, had one rod about 50 yards to the left on gravel bagged a couple of pasties but nothing to write home about, the other two rods where cast to the middle of the lake to showing fish (single hook baits)
this is where the biggest came from inc a 36 mirror and a 38 cat.

Comment: sound advice from joss, most people cast to far out in this swim. Best areas seem to be 25-35 yards out. Good swim for cats!
