2.15am weds night/thurs morning, i awoke to bigjon calling me.....his left rod on our plaform spot had screamed off....on walking up the platform, Jon was in.....huffing and puffing....
"you in fella".....i asked
"yeah mate....but i've slipped over on the wet grass and turned my ankle over...its killing me" ...jon responds
"never mind that mate...our spot has worked"....i answered in excitment...!!!
well...15 mins later, this stunning fish was in the net....a pb......and it couldnt have happened to a nicer bloke....(im a lying coooornt...lol)

we sat up and drank tea and re lived the moment...it was quality...and i returned to my pit full of expectation!....how my dreams were shattered....Yeap i blanked....the big "iam" blanked.....surely this was a dream... ...nope it wasnt.....and i wouldnt have changed my approach if i had the chance again.....and so far this week the syndicate members are failing to catch also.
I saw 1 fish role in my swim on friday, i saw 1 fish role in between Pete and Gandalf on tuesday....that was it....8 anglers, 7 fish landed, none lost, 3 blanked....the place is nails....hard as nails...but i love it.....i love the challenge, i love the comforts, i love the fact it can smash and make your dreams come true in one week.....it wont beat me....that week will make me all the more determind......all of us said we were in for some stick.....and its all good fun.....lets face it...blanking at Mar Peche is not un common...and i will no doubt blank again....if i do...so be it....bring it on....!
the order of the day was, wake up, drink tea, eat brekkie...(minus Bacon)...re cast rotated rods (recast after 48hr, left to right rods minimsing disturbance)....prep up evening meals...which comprised of 2kg of meat, browned, onions, chopped carrots, spuds, parsnips, peas various casserole sauces, all chucked in a slow cooker, set timer for 6pm....oh how we ate......beef, lamb, sommerset pork, chicken chasseur, sausage casserole...the food was second to none ive ever had.....finshed with various sweets that pete supplied and a few whiskeys and an evening of Ipod music....pure quality...!
jon still found room for a few snacks....lol

I'd like to thank the guys on the trip...you are all very special friends....and i cant wait to see your dreams come true....and for you to feel the pain of blanking.....
